AMASAL SPORTS & SOCIAL CLUB - 'The Place To Be Entertained'

About Us

The club

Our Club is based on the belief that our customers' needs are of the utmost importance. Our entire team is committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals.

Community-oriented venue has so much to offer ALL ages!!!!

"PROVIDING for people from the cradle to the grave" - the famous phrase used by Aneurin Bevan, the founding-father of the NHS (National Health Service) is also the key to success enjoyed by this community-orientated, Stafford-based club!
Quite literally, there are so many attractions and facilities on offer at Amasal Sports & Social Club that it is no wonder that people are seeking to join the St. Alban's Road venue!

However, Club Secretary, Marie Wright is keen to gain even more members for Amasal, which has such a wide remit!
Originally a company club, established 93 years ago (the name, Amasal, is a conflation of Amalagamated Salt), it is a hugely-popular venue for a whole host of societies and organisations, in addition to its members, thanks to its hugely-varied agenda.

Events and clubs

"Stafford District Disabled Persons' Association holds social nights (including games of bingo) each Wednesday,

"We stage lots of 'Race Nights' and live entertainment in aid of charitable causes and recently staged an 'Elvis Tribute Night' fund-raiser for the area's Alzheimer's Society.

"Naturally, we have more events lined up 'in the pipe-line', thanks to Paul Daly and the  Entertainment committee added George, who is joined on the current management committee by Geff Walker(Chairman) and Marie Wright (Trustee), and was full of praise

"There's a considerable amount of prize-money in this major, annual competition, and we lay on food, such as curries, 'burgers with onions, cheeseburgers and hot soup.

"Each Saturday morning, we offer two-hour teaching-sessions for all ages (from children upwards) by two nationally-qualified coaches, from 10am to 12 noon, for a fee of just 50p!"
